RuleArts proudly announces a new requirements repository available for our customers wanting to use RuleXpress for Requirements Management. In this repository we introduce new activities, new properties and new relationships to associate business rules and requirements. Also the reporting has been altered to suit the new activity “Manage Requirements”. In developing this repository we used the immensely popular book “The Software Requirements Memory Jogger” by Ellen Gottesdiener.

  • More information on using RuleXpress for Requirements can be found here.
  • Customers can download this repository from the download software page.
  • Please fill-in our web-demo request form to schedule a web-demo of the RuleXpress Requirements repository by Kirsten Korevaar.

Ellen Gottesdiener, Principal Consultant and Founder of EBG Consulting, Inc., is a requirements expert who works with both traditional and agile teams to help them deliver the right product at the right time. Her first book, Requirements by Collaboration: Workshops for Defining Needs (Addison-Wesley, 2002), describes how to use multiple models to elicit requirements in collaboration. Her second book, The Software Requirements Memory Jogger (GOAL/QPC, 2005), is the "go to" industry guide for requirements best practices.

RuleArts is founded by LibRT and Business Rules Solutions to develop a true business oriented rule book management system named RuleXpress. RuleXpress allows the business user to manage business rules in natural language independent of their implementation in IT systems, providing the benefit of improved business/IT communication.  Once the rule is implemented it is critical to maintain traceability to the implementation.
